Kids Can Cope: Say Hi When You're Shy

Lots of children feel shy when they don't know what to do or what to say. It might take them a while to warm up and feel more sure about talking to adults and joining in with other children. And sometimes a child just might like being on their own and playing alone.

There may, however, be times when children do want to speak up or join in but don't know how to get past their shyness. And sometimes, their shyness might hold them back and make them miss out on things or endure rather than enjoy events.
